Not only the lakes are worth seeing here! Although water is the connecting element on this 33 km long circular route, you can also expect historical buildings, idyllic nature and even an observatory along the way.
Drive on the Münsterland-Wabe 128 following the signs past the imposing youth castle Gemen - surrounded by a wide moat and a beautiful park.
We continue to the Mariengarden monastery with the monastery lake. For a break you will find one of the oldest restaurants in the district in the former gatehouse of the monastery Borken.
From here it is worth making a detour to the nature reserve Burlo-Vardingholter Venn, which with its moor waters, wetheiden and a viewing platform offers a great experience of nature.
Cycle back through the farming community to the Pröbstingsee. Now you've earned a coffee break. But if you haven't had enough of pedalling, switch to a pedal boat and enjoy the great view from the lake while cycling comfortably.
