The Naturparkhaus Biological Center District Coesfeld is located on the outskirts of the "3-Castle-City" Lüdinghausen am Klutensee.
The Biological Center has been a place of learning for environmental education in the Coesfeld district and a regional center in the State Network Education for Sustainable Development NRW since 1990.
In the 2,5 hectare garden area you will find a seminar building and an exhibition pavilion “straw clay house”.

In the straw loam house you can get information about cycling tours around Lüdinghausen and the seminar program of the center. There is also a small sales area with seasonal garden products.
From May to October you will find changing exhibitions on the subjects of biological diversity, natural garden design and sustainable consumption in the straw clay house
The seminar building provides educational opportunities for young and old.Families and clubs, school classes and daycare centers can book guided tours, practical seminars and teaching events. The aim of the educational work is to enable experiences in nature and with nature, to impart knowledge on sustainability issues and to encourage sustainable action.

The natural garden of the Biological Center is particularly worth seeing from April to October: colorful flower meadows, insect-friendly shrubs and trees, wild bee hotels and bat tunnels allow you to experience the local biodiversity. Fragrances in the herb garden, samples from the vegetable gardens or apples fresh from the tree ensure garden enjoyment. Quiet areas invite you to linger.
The gardens are designed as exhibition gardens. Visitors can find information on flora and fauna and garden topics.
For children there are adventure stations with advice, observation and exercise offers.

The Naturparkhouse Biologisches Zentrum Kreis Coesfeld is on the outskirts of Lüdinghausen, right on Klutensee. The meadows in the front area may be entered on the strips mowed for this purpose and individual leaves may be plucked from the herb plants to sniff and try them out. In the rear area there is also plenty of space for barbecuing, free romp, playing and roaming around.
