People like to be ready for the island here. Peace and nature combined with maximum fun for the whole family - this is guaranteed by the North Rhine-Westphalian leisure and recreation park in the Borkenhe district of Hoxfeld.
The Pröbstingsee, in the valley of Bocholter Aa, based on its over
100.000 m² four partly accessible islands. There are numerous "lake crossing options" available to young and old leisure captains:
Pedal, paddle and row boats as well as kayaks and stand-up paddling boards are available in the adjoining boathouse for a leisurely or action-packed tour of the lake.
A wide variety of events such as the Dragonboat Cup and Whitsun contests take place around the lake all year round.
You can also relax in the café with a lake terrace or for free on the sandy beach of the bathing lake. Two large adventure playgrounds and a mini golf course also inspire little pirates.
