Nottuln: Park landscape on the southern slope of the Baumberge

When you arrive in Nottuln-Darup, it is definitely worth a detour to the Alter Hof Schoppmann. On the idyllic farm grounds, among other things, the Naturparkhouse Naturschutzzentrum Kreis Coesfeld e.V. its headquarters with learning center and exhibition room and lots of information about the Naturpark Hohe Mark. Enjoy the village character and let yourself be enchanted by this small natural jewel.

Village life is palpable here. A small nature education garden with butterfly bed and cottage garden as well as an educational pond and natural playground are located in the immediate vicinity of the buildings and invite you to visit the café.

The nature conservation center has been based at the Alten Hof Schoppmann in Nottuln-Darup since autumn 2015. The e.V. is not only a resident of the Old Gatehouse with a learning space and exhibition room, but also one of three partners in this large Regional 2016 project. Together with the IBP e.V. and the Daruper Bürgergenossenschaft e.G. After the end of its agricultural use, the farm became a central, versatile contact point for the . Different offers now have regional and national appeal. The learning location and exhibition space are just as important facilities as the newly designed grounds of the farm. Exhibitions about the natural and cultural landscape of the Baumberge region as well as educational and information events on the subject of nature conservation are part of the new farm concept.
