Directly next to Raesfeld Castle is a 100-hectare zoo that was once laid out in the Renaissance style.
The park is spacious with beautiful meadows and wooded areas, with small, enchanting lakes in between.
There are four beautiful walking paths to choose from, the shortest path being 1 km long and the longest path 5,2 km.
During a tour of the zoo, the ruins of the four mills of the old lord of the castle, the Wellbrock spring, and the impressive habitat of a wide variety of wild animals can be admired.
An encounter with red deer or fallow deer is certainly one of the most impressive experiences.
At the end of your walk, a nature adventure area of over 5000m² invites you to romp around. There are climbing and balancing paths, low ropes course, cone throwing facility, branch construction sites and much more.
Anyone interested can take part in the Tiergarten Rally. There is also a free app to download that the team from Naturparkhouse Tiergarten Schloss Raesfeld in cooperation with the VHS Borken created.
Different restaurants offer everything for the physical well-being.
The Raesfeld Castle Zoo is freely accessible and open all year round.
