It's worth spending a weekend or a few days in Haltern am See to experience our so-called “LandStreifer” on day hikes.
Designed as circular hiking trails, our “country hikers” are always good for a scenic and cultural surprise!
In Haltern am See there are two circular routes, “Deep Mountains, High Valleys” and “Wild Forest Weitsicht”, which are waiting to be discovered. Also in the immediate neighborhood Dülmen, Olfen or south of the Haard you can hike to other impressive “LandStreifer”.
