30 km Ludgerusweg (certified route hiking trail). To the Münsterland to proselytize, Charlemagne once sent Saint Ludgerus on his way.
Today, hikers can follow in the footsteps of the first bishop of Münster, take the 30 km long hiking trail that connects Tilbeck Abbey with the district town of Coesfeld.
Through the Münsterland parkland and beech forests, it leads past numerous historical statues of saints, crossroads and churches.
The Ludgerusweg is with the Gütesiegel Qualitätsweg Wanderbares Deutschland excellent. It can be run well in one piece, but can also be divided into individual stages.
