This route takes you 44 km along wet meadows, moors and streams. You will roam through a cultural landscape that has been inhabited for thousands of years and whose different uses as arable and pasture land, commercial forest and for water management have left visible traces.
Enjoy the wide view over the Rhader Wiesen nature reserve! In this idyllic meadow and stream landscape, you can observe the activities of the resident storks. There are three stork nests in the immediate vicinity.
An absolutely worthwhile stop on the circuit is the biological station in the district of Recklinghausen on the Punsmann farm near Dorsten-Lembeck. On an area of around 3 hectares, the biological station offers a varied outdoor area: a beautifully landscaped farm garden, orchards, ponds, raised and hill beds, wild meadows, dry stone walls and hedges, all in the middle of a beautiful forest area. The grounds and farm garden can be visited free of charge at any time.
Why not take a break at the Tüshaus Mill in Dorsten-Deuten - a cultural monument of a special kind. On every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month or on request, you can be guided through the only fully functional water mill in North Rhine-Westphalia.
