Barrier-free circular route Üfter Mark

Discover the world of the forest. On wooded paths through the Üfter Mark. A real pleasure in every season!

The Üfter Mark is one of the largest contiguous forest landscapes in the Naturpark Hohe Mark and offers diverse opportunities to experience nature with minimal barriers.

The accessible circular route consists of several sections with varying levels of difficulty. One section, approximately 4,4 kilometers long, has a well-maintained, level surface and tactile edges, making it particularly suitable for people with visual or mobility impairments. The other section, approximately 6,7 kilometers long, includes some sandy paths and a few inclines. Since there are no tactile edges on this section, assistance is recommended.

Along the trail, ten interactive stations invite visitors to discover the unique features of the Üfter Mark in a variety of ways. Information on topics such as history, flora and fauna, trees, forest management, and regional culture is presented in an easily understandable format. In addition, texts in Braille and tactile elements on wooden panels are available, encouraging exploration, touch, and participation.
