Historical tools and equipment will show you how people worked with bees centuries ago. You will learn about the old traditions of beekeeping in forests , as well as basket and box beekeeping , which have a long history in Westphalia and the surrounding regions.
A truly special experience awaits you in the collection of rare amber pieces containing bees . They offer a fascinating glimpse into the evolutionary history of these beneficial insects – a genuine look into the past!
A highlight for young and old: In the museum, you can observe live bee colonies and see how diligently they work. You'll learn not only a lot about honeybees , but also about the often unknown, but equally important, wild bees.
Come along, marvel, discover and learn – the Bee Museum is buzzing with knowledge and enthusiasm!
