Kassel/Bonn, May 19, 2026 – How can the value of NaturparkHow can we communicate our commitment to society and the environment even more clearly? This question is the focus of the spring conference of the Association of German Naturparke (VDN e. V.), which will take place from May 18th to 20th in Naturpark Habichtswald is taking place. Around 70 representatives from NaturparkPeople from all over Germany will meet in northern Hesse for this purpose.
The focus of the three-day event is on how the performance of the Naturparke – from nature conservation to environmental education to sustainable tourism – can be brought more strongly into public awareness and social appreciation can be further increased.
The spring conference of the German NaturparkThe event in Kassel was opened by District Administrator Andreas Siebert, Chairman of the NaturparkHabichtswald; Christina Uhl, Head of Department “Naturparke, Biosphere Reserve and Rural Tourism” at the Hessian Ministry for Agriculture and Environment, Viticulture, Forestry, Hunting and Homeland; VDN President Friedel Heuwinkel and Jürgen Depenbrock, Managing Director of the Zweckverband Naturpark Habichtswald.
