Open Day at the Moorhof Sheep Farm – Sunday, April 13, 2025, 11 a.m. to 17 p.m.

Ahaus-Graes|Zwillbrock. On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the Zwillbrock Biological Station invites you to Sheep Farm Day at the Moorhof in Ahaus-Graes, starting at 11 a.m. This is an ideal opportunity to visit the Moorschnucken herd in their winter quarters and learn about the work of the sheep farm.

A day for the whole family! Real sheep!

The master shepherd will answer questions about the Moorschnucken sheep and sheep farming. Sheep farming products, as well as the educational offerings of the Zwillbrock Biological Station and the BNE Regional Center, will be presented. Other exhibitors will showcase sheep's wool and what it can be made into. The Music Mice from the Vreden Music School are looking forward to their performance this afternoon. Singing along is definitely encouraged.

The visit is especially exciting for children! They can get up close and personal with the lambs, play and romp, and take part in an exciting quiz.

Natural history tours to the Amtsvenn!

Anyone interested can participate in one of the expert excursions to the neighboring Amtsvenn. Project teams from the EU LIFE projects "CrossBorderBog" and "Meadow Birds" will provide information about nature conservation work in moors, heaths, and wet meadows.
