This coming Sunday, June 14th, 2026, I will be giving two butterfly excursions in the NaturparkHouse of the Biological Station of the Recklinghausen District e. V.

Butterflies have found their way into the exhibition at the Biological Station.
On this day, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in two guided tours accompanying the exhibition.
The first excursion will take place between 11:00 am and 13:00 pm, and another excursion will take place between 14:00 pm and 16:00 pm.
Both excursions through the gardens of the Biological Station will visit different sections to see which butterflies prefer the respective habitats. For example, we will find different species in orchards or wetlands than at the edge of the forest. We will also share fascinating facts, and participants are welcome to bring their questions.
Butterfly conservation will also be an important topic, because we humans can contribute a lot to the well-being of these beautiful animals.

The guided tours are offered as part of the Days of Gardens and Parks in Westphalia-Lippe.
