Rest areas in Dülmen-Rorup and Dülmen-Rödder with the support of Naturparks Hohe Mark and the Münster district government renovated

Take a deep breath, let your gaze wander into nature, and perhaps enjoy a small picnic – this is now possible at two popular rest areas in Dülmen This is possible again, especially well.
At the initiative of the Stadt Dülmen and the NaturparkThanks to financial support from the Münster district government, the two rest areas in Rorup and Rödder in the Hohe Mark region have been renovated and attractively redesigned. The funds come from the Nature Conservation Funding Guideline (FöNa) of the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Thanks to the funding, the two rest areas are once again inviting visitors to enjoy a relaxing picnic break. The roofs of both huts have been renovated, old benches renewed or replaced with modern ones, and the surrounding area cleared.
Additionally, information boards in the huts provide details about the location within the NaturparkThe Hohe Mark and nearby attractions. This way, a short break becomes a small journey of discovery into nature and the local area.
“We had parts of the walls removed so that people can enjoy their break with an unobstructed view of nature and experience our home right on their doorstep,” summarizes Annette Stadtbäumer from the city. Dülmen.

“The cooperation between the Naturpark Hohe Mark and the Stadt Dülmen It works smoothly. We are pleased that every year we can support our member municipalities with up to 80 percent of the project costs for projects on nature and sustainability issues using funds from the district government's FöNa budget.”
