On the R3 circular hiking trail between Rhede In Bocholt and the surrounding area, trail markers have repeatedly disappeared in recent months. According to the Stadt Rhede and the Westphalian Homeland Association deliberately removed signs of the R3 trail, while neighboring markings of other hiking trails were retained.

The lack of signposts makes orientation difficult and creates additional work for the volunteer trail markers who regularly check and update the signage. At the same time, the trail markers help to guide hikers safely along the designated routes and protect sensitive natural areas.

Anyone who has witnessed the incidents is asked to contact the Stadt Rhede or contact the Westphalian Heritage Association. Both jointly appeal to all visitors to respect the trail markers and leave them undamaged.
