Press release, Raesfeld, November 3, 2025

Mindful time travel in autumn – Guided hike in Naturpark High mark

The Naturpark Hohe Mark Together with the educational center of the Zwillbrock Biological Station, we invite you to a special guided hike that will engage body, mind, and soul alike. On Saturday, November 8, 2025, a unique tour will begin at 9:00 a.m.: a "journey through time" – led by the Hat Ladies, Carola Casado and Sarah Klein.

The two experienced wilderness educators take participants on the "Time Travel" circular trail, which leads not only into the history of the landscape but, above all, into experiencing the present moment. "We listen to what nature tells us, gathering impressions in silence and exchange. With mindfulness exercises, quizzes, and knowledge about nature, we accompany the participants through this special time of year – and together we usher in winter, with all that it offers in terms of retreat, peace, and clarity," Casado and Klein describe their concept.

The round 6-kilometer circular route is one of 13 LandStreifer trails in the Naturpark Hohe Mark. Thanks to its manageable distance, it is also ideal for novice hikers. Along the way, impressive landscapes alternate, and participants learn fascinating facts about the origin of the heath, the importance of the wood-pasture, and the transformation from dense mixed forest to open cultural landscape.

Marianne Teltrop also from Naturpark Hohe Mark is delighted with the successful cooperation: “Our shared goal is to enable people to experience the forest in depth. Studies show how positively spending time in nature affects health and well-being – and our LandStreifer circular trails are perfectly suited for this.”

The hike, including breaks, takes approximately four hours. Participation is limited to 20 people, so registration is required via the booking platform of the Zwillbrock Biological Station at [website address]. www.bszwillbrock.de
