Apothecary garden in Borken

Enjoy with all your senses, experience the history of herbal medicine from ancient healing methods to modern phytotherapy, flowers in magnificent colors; Scents of essential oils, a olfactory and tactile garden specially designed for the visually impaired.
So touching is expressly allowed here!

Sensory garden Benediktushof Maria Veen

A beautifully landscaped garden behind the Elisabeth residential building. Seating, sandy beach, water feature, wildflower and herb garden - just nice for a little break.


Barrier-free viewing platform Heubachniederung

Bird sanctuary and until the middle of this century the core zone of the largest contiguous high and low moor complex in North Rhine-Westphalia.
With a bit of luck you can see lapwings, curlews and black-tailed godwits.


Westruper Heide

A worthwhile visit not only during the flowering period in July/August. Starting from the Hotel Seehof car park, there is a wheelchair-accessible path over 2 km and a tactile route of 1,5 km in length.


Hervest break

Storks, Heck cattle, water buffalo - there's a lot going on here. In the north-west of the Hervester Bruch, a footbridge leads through the reeds to a barrier-free viewing platform with views of the pastureland. On the southern side, the stork's nest can be wonderfully observed from a barrier-free viewing platform.

Let your eyes wander over the extensive sand pit and get ready for animal encounters with deer, wild boar, foxes, rabbits or squirrels.


Inclusive cultural adventure trail at Raesfeld Castle

A walk around the Raesfeld moated castle on well-developed paths. There are also listening and tactile stations with information on the history of the castle and its current use.


Barrier-free circular route Üfter Mark

Participation wanted! A 4,4 km long, wheelchair-accessible path with a tactile path edge, 10 adventure stations, information boards in Braille and wooden boards with tactile millings - it's exciting what there is to learn about nature here.
